Kids Sewing: Beginner Course is a 6 module self-paced online course for kids ages 8 and up who want to learn to sew so they can create fun and useful projects.
At the end of our course together, you'll walk away with:

Here's what you'll be learning:
Module 1: Safety First
Sewing is fun, but safety is key! Students will learn the importance of using sewing supplies safely, and some tips and instructions on how to use scissors, irons, and pins.
Module 2: Sewing Machine Basics
Students will learn about the parts of the sewing machine, how they work together, how to thread their machine, and how to wind a bobbin.
Module 3: Create a Hoop Organizer
Students will practice their sewing and then apply skills to making a hoop organizer to help organize new sewing supplies.
Module 4: Create Placemats
Students will make two reversible placemats while practicing their backstitching and pivoting their fabric.
Module 5: Cuffed Pillowcase
Students will make a cuffed pillowcase featuring three different fabrics.
Module 6: Tote Bag
Students will make a tote bag including handles that can be used to carry books, toys, or as a purse.

CAN MY CHILD REALLY DO THIS?
YES! Your child can absolutely do this. Adult supervision and support are required with ironing and cutting, and monitoring sewing machine use.

HOW IS THE COURSE DELIVERED?
Lessons are comprised of videos tutorials, worksheets and easy-to-follow written instructions. Each project also has a free printable of the pattern the students are completing.
